In short: Ideario has no server and collects no data. Your notes stay on your computer and, if you turn on sync, in a hidden app folder in your own Google Drive. Nobody but you can access them.

1. What Ideario is

Ideario is a desktop notes app (Windows, macOS and Linux). It works offline: everything you write is stored in a database on your own computer.

2. Data stored on your computer

Notes, checklists, reminders, categories, tags, photos and attachments are stored in the app's data folder on your computer. Photos are resized and their metadata (such as location) is removed, unless you choose the “Original” quality. None of this is sent to the developer or to third parties.

3. Google Drive sync (optional)

If you click Entrar com Google (Sign in with Google), Ideario requests only these permissions:

That hidden folder holds copies of your notes, categories and attachments so that your computers stay in sync. Data goes directly from your computer to Google, without passing through any Ideario server.

The access token is stored securely on your computer (Keychain on macOS, Credential Manager on Windows, or a file readable only by your user on Linux).

Ideario's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not used to train AI models, and is not read by humans.

4. Other internet connections

Ideario has no ads, no trackers, no usage analytics and no automatic crash reports.

5. Deleting your data

6. Children

Ideario is not directed at children and does not collect data from anyone.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its update date.
